How Many ice age had Come on Mars

Glaciers gave hints and told how many ice age had come on Mars, By studying the stones found on the surface of Glaciers of Mars, scientists found out how many ice ages had occurred on the red planet in the last 80 million years.

Over the past few years, scientists have become more interested in Mars. Plans to send humans to Mars have given them strength. This is the reason why now Mars has started to be studied in depth along with Earth. Scientists also believe that even though today's life on Mars is not favorable, but there must have been a time. The latest study has told about the history of Mars, how many ice ages have been encountered by this red planet in the last 800 years.

How many ice ages have come

This study has shown that there have been six ice ages on Mars in the last 300 million years whereas in the last 80 million years, 20 ice ages have come. As far as the Earth's ice age is concerned. The last time the ice age came here 2000 years ago. During this time, the whole earth was covered with many glaciers, but slowly these glaciers moved towards the poles.

Biggest question

According to a CNN report, the study has been published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. Researchers have been trying to find out how these glaciers were formed on Mars. This research can answer these questions.

Study of NASA photos

Levi found that rocks erode over time. Pieces of the same size of stone coming down the point of the mountain towards an ice age. Levi said that he and 10 students of Colgate University studied 45 pictures of glaciers on the surface of Mars. These photos were taken by NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter.

How the sound is heard on Mars, will tell NASA's persistent rover

Problems in studies, By studying high-resolution photographs, the researchers counted the stones and also found out their size. Enlarging the pictures made the team easy to study and they could count 60 thousand stones and measure them. This work could have been done quickly through Artificial Intelligence, but it could not identify the stones on the surface of the glacier correctly.

Rings told the story

Researchers found that the difference in sizes of the stones was not regular, so the size was not that much for them. They were more interested in forming or gathering their groups. In the glacier of Mars, stones flow inside them, not outside, these stones did not wear out. But the stones appeared in rings of different sizes. With these rings, the researchers got indications of a different drift of every ice age.

Why astronomers are taking the help of simulations to understand the creation of the moon

The ice age comes when the orbit of the planet changes. Apart from this, different ice ages tell the time when Mars will start to waver in its orbit. This will shed some light on the climate change of Mars. Researchers feel that much more study needs to be done in this matter.
